Ask for the full schedule
Get separate dates for readiness, the observation period, fieldwork, management review and final delivery. This makes quotes much easier to compare.
Booking for Q4 or Q1?
Ask who will be assigned to your audit, when evidence is due and how quickly issues will be reviewed. Put every important date in the engagement letter.
